One of my set of 4 has gone kaput, the passthrough is still working but network is dead - all lights of, is this fixable as I use all of them and dont want the headache of using another model that will be more grief than its worth.

I use these all the time buddy.. and have one go "kaput" every 2 months or so..

I just make sure when buying another that its an "A" or "B"..

This is stated at the end of the serial number..

"A" = Access Point.. Meaning connects to your router..
"B" = End Point.. Connects to device..

I use the 902 comtrend 200Mpbs ones at the moment.. But just last night bought 6 x 1Gbit Belkin homeplugs..

They are obvously not here yet.. but you can add them to you network no problems at all.. as long as they are the same..

Not a great fan of the comtrends, had two sets go belly up. This has lasted over 16 months and was in constant use as it was the AP to the router.

Are the Belkins passthrough?

passthrough you dont lose the socket the powerline hs a plug socket on it.

Ahhh.. OK.. So you can actually plug something else into the homeplug so that it does not take a power socket..

yeah.. Good idea.. Some of mine are like that.. and some not..

Been stitched up on fleabay, bought a 200MB passthrough and the fooker sent me a 85MB and it wont talk to the rest of my HP.

Any one got a idea how I can fix it, I thought the newer ones were backward compatible
