Just a few hours before the big unveil, here's some more news on Android Ice Cream Sandwich: looks like it'll be getting a photo editor built-in to Android Gallery, like a slimmed-down version of Photoshop to edit your snaps.

Android Police has obtained the icons, and while it can't confirm if they're the final ones, it does look pretty certain the functions will come built-in to the next generation of Android. And this little lot should take care of all your imaging needs.

There are 12 icons, handling all the main imaging functions. The full list is: Crop, Rotate, Flip, Straighten, Sharpen, Redeye, Redo, Undo, Colours, Exposure, Fix, and Artistic. All the icons are white on a transparent background, so some obliging fellow at Android Police put them on black so we can make them out easier. Nice of them.

The icons may also look different in the software itself, either coloured or with effects; these are just the basic designs, more outlines than anything.

The Colours icon (or 'Colors', to use the US spelling) also looks like it has an adjustable slider control. They're all built into the Gallery APK -- expect an Edit button as you're viewing your snaps. Once you press, these should appear so you can fiddle with your photos to your heart's content.

Google is set to unveil Ice Cream Sandwich in the early hours of Wednesday morning, at an event in Hong Kong co-hosted by Samsung. It's said to combine the best of Honeycomb and Gingerbread, though no one really knows how. Seeing as Samsung's there too, we're hoping to see the Galaxy Nexus, the smartphone with a huge 4.6-inch screen that'll run Ice Cream Sandwich. As if that wasn't enough, Motorola is set to unveil its new handset tomorrow evening, said to be the Droid Razr.

What a week it's looking to be for Android. Which announcement are you looking forward to the most? Let us know
