    Duo or ET9000....

Oppertunity has presented itself, my mate is in the market for a new twin tuner box. he isnt very "savy" and to be honest doesn't really care! he asked me to sort it. now, i have told him about the duo as i have one and he said yeah thats sound get me one.

I have had a word with him and he is happy to have mine which is about a year old and I can have a ET9000, question is....

Stick with VU DUo or get an ET9000...?

What is the media player like on the 9000? is it better that the Duo?

well either unit is good, but my first chioce would be the et 9000 ( also known as the clark tech 9000 ) mainly due to its appearence,
    Units; VU+Ultimo/duo/DM800/7020HD/tm9100
    1.2 channel master/quad feedhorn/36volt /vbox

Can second that in regards to media player. Avi especially used to play badly on duo with stuttering video although mkv and mp4 played fine. But on et9000 every format I have tried play flawlessly. In this regard I totally would go with the et over duo as software exactly same other than this and hardware pip and bscan

    Hi,

In the media-player section, is Dm 800se the king.
But I must say, there can ET9000 easily keep up.
    Better as the Duo:Yes.

i totally agree with you steve. the build quality of the Vu and XT / CT receivers far surpasses that of the DM800 in every way. yes DM may have been king of the STB's at one point but that is long past.
