have installed b.h 1.6 image,what next

installing blackhole 1.6 image

hello,have just installed the blackhole 1.6 image on my vu solo.
am trying to install the cc cam b.h. 2.2.1.tgz file
have ftp across to the var/ bin directory.
where do i go from here.how can i tell if the cam has been installed,
and how do i activate it .

You need to copy the tgz file to /tmp.

Then I think its something like Green -> Yellow (Add-ons) -> Manual Install BH packages

telnet in to the receiver and issue the TOP command.

sorry all this is new to me.
do i use dreambox control center--telnet,type in TOP ,then run.
or is it something competely different.

telnet, then just type TOP and press enter.

Look at the running proccess's.

Yes, telnet, login as root and run top (lowercase) or ps.

Using the remote, press Blue and set it to be the default.

Jst press the blue button, it will show you how many Cams are installed. yours should say 2. Then just toggle left or right and it should change from CI to CCcam v2.21 then press ok to start it.

last thing i have to do is add my CCcam configuration file.
correct me if i am wrong but does this go on the var/etc directory.

var/etc is for enigma 1 box images. /etc is for the enigma 2 box images.

It wouldn't start if it couldn't read the file, so 624 is ok (if a bit strange). Probably better to do


chmod 600 /etc/CCcam.cfg

sorry,quite new to this,
but do i type this code at the bottom part of dreambox control center.
havent had any problems before,but now i put a new image on,i can only
clear fta.
