Playing movies problems

Hi lads using newest vti image. My pc shared folder is set up but when i go to media player and pick a movie an error comes up saying.....GStreamer plugin XVID MPEG-4 decorder not available....Any help is appreciated

The decoder hasn't been installed with the image. I think you can install it manually somewhere in the software management menu. I don't have access to my box at the moment but there should be a big list of plugins that you can install for gstreamer. Just look for a name that resembles xvid/mpeg4 and see what happens.
