upgrading in multiboot

hi guys
i have a solo with vti 2.2 image installed on the flash
i installed meoboot plugin then installed vix 1.1 on usb
the question is what if i want to upgrade VTI image to 2.3? do i have to reinstall VIX again even if it needs no upgrade (knowing that it is not affected by reinstalling vti since the usb disk is not affected..am i right)

not sure but when ever i have decided to change the flash image on my DM7020 i have always had to re-install all the other images i had in multiboot, it may be different for you though as the VU is E2 and the DM7020 is E1.

As far as I have read on this forums VIX needs to in flash and does not support multiboot.

well..i have installed VIX 1.0 & 1.1 on usb (multiboot) and it was working :confused:

I'm not 100% sure, but i think if you re-flash with vti2.3, then re-installed meoboot it might still pick up the vix images on usb, but I'm not 100% sure. You may end up having to re-install the vix images again too. I'd be interested to hear how you get on though.

when you re-install a image to flash it basically does a format wiping every thing that was previously on before, so yes you will need to re-install meoboot then re-install the images on your chosen media such as usb stick or hdd.
