Vu+solo usb hard drive issue

Hello i hope someone can help me on this,I have followed the this thread http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/archive/index.php/t-1271.html this worked apart from there is no /media/usb/movie folder so I had to create the folder manually on the box, anyway i have had my vu+ solo a few days I bought a new segate 1tb powered usb hard drive,my problem is that when I record anything on any hd channel the picture will keep on freezing and is glitchy on playback.On sd channels the recordings are fine,Iam at a total lose on what to do on this Iam running on the latest VTI image btw.thanks

Ok I have a new problem on this ive set up the hard drive as you suggested the box is recoding fine but there is nothing there when i stop,my hard drive says there is only 77 mb left even though its been initialised and it is 1tb ive got the point where i regret buying this stupid box please can someone selse give me some advice thanks
