Here's a few images and a spec sheet I've found for the VU+ Solo, due for release around March / April 2010. When its release to RTM it could change slightly.

Expect it be the equivalent of a DM500HD or DM800 from what I've read. The spec sheet doesn't state HDD, so its more likely to be the equivalent of a DM500HD.

Checked with shop today as to when available. At least a couple of months.
No price yet, not surprisingly

It probably wont be available until May and the price has not been fixed yet.

Not that ugly. What do you think?

For 350EUR, dm500hd is better option. And it has faster CPU... even dual core!
I dont know what vu+ thinks with this model. Too expensive for what it offers.

First prices seem to indicate this will be £299 in the UK and possibly available from the end of May... A bit to early to confirm this 100% at the moment though, will have more news over the next couple of weeks most probably. I had a sample one one in my hands back in March, but these things all take time to appear in the market....

i might sell my duo to get the solo when it comes out :)

one thing i like about the solo is the size, but maybe i'm just thinking too fast as no idea if usb hard disk will allow recording perfectly (as no internal, or esata)
