Fan noise?

I want to place a Vu+ Solo in my bedroom, but i defenitely do not want to hear ANY noise when I do not wach TV.
I will connect it to a NAS, so it will not have an internal harddisk.
Does te solo make any noise? does it have a fan? if it has a fan, does it stop in stand-by? is the fan only working when needed? (with a thermostate?)
